In 1979 Yale University Press published "The Heritage of Vietnamese Poetry". Although that collection of premodern poems has gone out of print, there is renewed demand for such an anthology on the part of instructors of courses on Vietnamese history, the Vietnam War, Southeast Asian and East Asian literatures, Asian-American studies, and women's studies. Not only to meet the needs of those academic constituencies but also to provide for Vietnamese throughout the world and their international friends an omnibus of Vietnamese verse in English translation, I have prepared "An Anthology of Vietnamese Poems". This book consists of 322 works by about a hundred fifty poets, celebrated, obscure, or anonymous. It includes 125 poems (many revised) from the 1979 volume, as well as two long narratives written before the twentieth century.
The poems of the legendary Nobel Laureate, in one volume at last. One of the greatest and grandest advocates of the literary vocation, Joseph Brodsky truly lived his life as a poet, and for it earned eighteen months in an Arctic labor camp, expulsion from his native country, and the Nobel Prize in Literature. Such were one man's wages. Here, collected for the first time, are all the poems he published in English, from his earliest collaborations with Derek Walcott, Richard Wilbur, Howard Moss, and Anthony Hecht to the moving farewell poems he wrote near the end of his life. With nearly two hundred poems, several of them never before published in book form, this will be the essential volume of Brodsky's work. Рекомендуем!

A milestone in literary scholarship, the publication of the Johns Hopkins edition of "The Complete Poetry of Percy Bysshe Shelley" makes available for the first time critically edited clear texts of all poems and translations that Shelley published or circulated among friends, as well as diplomatic texts of his significant incomplete poetic drafts and fragments. Edited upon historical principles by Donald H.Reiman and Neil Fraistat, the multi volume edition will offer more poems and fragments than any previous collective edition, arranged in the order of their first circulation. These texts are followed by the most extensive collations hitherto available and detailed commentaries that describe their contextual origins and subsequent reception. Rejected passages of released poems appear as supplements to those poems, while other poetic drafts that Shelley rejected or left incomplete at his death will be grouped according to either their publication histories or the notebooks in which they survive. Volume One includes Shelley's first four works containing poetry (all prepared for publication before his expulsion from Oxford), as well as "The Devil's Walk" (circulated in August 1812), and a series of short poems that he sent to friends between 1809 and 1814, including a bawdy satire on his parents and "Oh wretched mortal," a poem never before published. An appendix discusses poems lost or erroneously attributed to the young Shelley.

In the book of poems of the well-known Ural poetess V. Molodovskaya, the poet’s book contains her poems about love: deep and real feelings that stand the test of life’s trials and time. A love note is required in the chord of human happiness. Without it, the music of life is dry! The author writes about love, for am sure that this topic is relevant at all times. It is like a vaccination against cynicism and devaluation of feelings in our overly rationalistic age. The book is intended for a wide range of readers.
